Jakarta – Nawakara in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI Pusat) recently held a blood donor session for employees and the public to bring out their sense of humanity and sharing.
Despite the current coronavirus crisis, the activity went ahead, running smoothly at Nawakara’s Golden Plaza Complex, South Jakarta (16/3). Having a title of ‘Share Blood, Share Life, Share Smile’, the session was attended by 67 participants and resulted in the donation of 56 blood packs.
Corporate Communication Nawakara, Devie Dewanto, said the blood donation is routine activity at Nawakara, and the expectation is to motivate people, especially company employees, to help those in need.
Dewa also explained that blood donation can make the body healthier. It means the activity also benefits the donor themselves. “Hope this activity can help PMI provide blood to those in need,” said Dewa.
Nawakara carries out blood donor sessions three times a year. The target of each session is to get 100 blood packs. Nawakara hopes in the future there will be more donors willing to participate.
