Batang – PT Nawakara Perkasa Nusantara (Nawakara), through the Batang PLTU Project part of Surabaya Regional Office, provided assistance to ease the treatment of a toddler with Atresia Bilier named Mishalova in Kaliboyo Village, Tulis District, Batang Regency, Central Java Province, on Tuesday (24/11).
I Nengah Sugiarta, as Project Leader, said, in line with the Nawakara program to help community members who live in the Project area, the Batang PLTU Project took the initiative to raise funds to help ease the treatment of Adik Mishalova, who is still a toddler.
"Mishalova's brother lives in the Batang PLTU Project area. We heard stories from Adik Mishalova's parents that this younger brother was treated from birth with a premature condition, and at the age of 6 months, the toddler was diagnosed with a liver disorder called Atresia Bilier, which is a rare disease experienced by toddlers," explained I Nengah.
Currently, this four-year-old toddler is being treated at RSCM Jakarta, and it has been four years since 2016-2020 that he has not done a liver transplant due to the high cost.
"Hopefully, with a little help given by Nawakara to parents of these toddlers, it can help ease the burden on Adik Mishalova's liver transplant. The hope is that we can return to health and reunite with family," said I Nengah.
