Cilacap – Nawakara Security personnel assigned to the Cilacap Power Plant Project (RO Bandung) succeeded in setting aside 75 security personnel from 15 companies in the K3 Warrior competition held by the Cilacap Power Plant and became the first winner. The prize was given directly by the General Manager of the PLTU Cilacap Sugeng at the Cilacap PLTU Office, Central Java, Sunday (28/6). This competition was held to commemorate National K3 Day 2020.

"Thank God we are happy and proud that the Nawakara Team can still show performance in the field of safety. It can give us the motivation  to continue to improve skills and agility in work safety," said Bambang Hermanto, the Cilacap Power Plant Project Coordinator.

The purpose of this race is to test and improve the skills and agility of security personnel in work safety, especially in emergency conditions. The series that is contested is riding scaffolding and pursuing metal plank by using a body harness, hitting a round bar and pushing heavy fire extinguishers (APAB), passing through monkey bar obstacles, rolling up the fire hose, pulling the wheels and extinguishing the fire using a fire extinguisher (lightweight fire extinguisher).

Bambang Hermanto explained that Nawakara security personnel had been trained in K3 skills and agility, because the person had been given a briefing by the Nawakara Project Leader and operational staff about knowledge of the importance of LK3, emergency response or the basics of fire prevention as well as physical, mental preparation, and motivation.

Separately, the General Manager of the S2P PLTU Cilacap Sugeng appreciated all the security teams participating in the K3 Warrior competition. "I appreciate all the teams that participated and congrats the Nawakara Team who won 1st place. Continue to improve skills and agility in work safety, keep the spirit in any condition," said Sugeng.
