Rokan Hilir – PT Nawakara Perkasa Nusantara (Nawakara) cares about the communities affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the Rokan Hilir area and Bengkalis region, Riau. Nawakara through the Chevron Pacific Indonesia Project, assisting in the form of handwashing soap for mosques, sectoral Police office, and Pospam on Monday (11/5). It aims to help anticipation of the coronavirus transmission in the region.
Chevron Pacific Indonesia Community Relations Project Representative Afrizal said that handwashing soap donation was provided to mosques spread across two Regencies, namely Arafah Grand Mosque, An 'Naba Mosque, Araudah Mosque, Muhajirin Mosque, Ta' Arup Sungai Rangau Mosque, Mosque Baitul Kiram, Tuanku Tambusai Mosque, Mushola Bagan Cempedak Rangau, as well as the Rantau Kopar Police Station and the Civid Rantau Kopar Pospam.
"We represent the management of Nawakara providing this donation because many residents are carrying out religious activities in the mosque during Ramadan. We hope, this donation can help to prevent the transmission of the coronavirus," Afrizal said on the sidelines of the handover of handwashing soap assistance, Monday (11/5).
In addition to assisting hand washing soap, the Nawakara security team participated in a patrol with the sectoral Police team, and Pospam. The security team is tasked with checking body temperature and providing hand sanitizers to people who cross the Chevron Pacific Indonesia Project work area.
"I really hope that each Nawakara project can pay more attention to their respective work areas in the effort to handle this Covid-19. Wherever we work, we need to pay more attention, so we can provide the needs of the community in our work area," said Afrizal.
