Nawakara Worked Together to Clean Water Channels

Batang – As many as 20 project personnel PLTU Batang (RO Surabaya) and village officials work together with residents to clean water channels in Ponowareng Village, Tulis District, Batang Regency, Central Java. This activity is carried out as a precautionary measure in the rainy season due to the high flow of river water and to prevent river water overflows, which can cause people's agricultural land to be submerged.
The Head of the PLTU Batang Project, I Nengah Sugiarta, said that Nawakara carried out this activity in collaboration between village officials and Nawakara and Ponowareng Village residents sense of mutual concern for the environment, which will have a good impact on residents, especially farmers.
"This activity is positive and can build cooperation between residents and the village government so that it can be carried out regularly and consistently in the future. Nawakara will always help and participate in every social activity carried out by the community, especially in the work environment of the Batang PLTU Project," said I Nengah.
